Hawai'i
I took over 600 pictures on this trip. I've whittled them down to what you see below, but there are still a lot so I've broken them down into parts.
Maui
Day 1: Our first night in Hawai'i
Day 2: Sunrise and the bike ride down Haleakala
Day 3: Snorkel/Dive trip to Molokini
Day 5: Maui Tropical Plantation
Kaua'i
As the more observant of you may have noticed, our time on Maui was a bit busy. Thankfully the time we spent on Kaua'i was much more laid back. We were still running around every day but it was more relaxed with no particular plan for the most part.
Day 7: Waimea Canyon, Ft. Elizabeth, etc.
Days 8 through 11: The Rest, a mixed collection of wanderings around the island of Kaua'i
As Kari and I have ventured out into the world doing the things we do, we've developed something of a tradition on our trips and adventures. We pose together for a self-taken shot of ourselves at whatever place we feel interesting enough to do so and do our best to get ourselves and the object of interest in the photo. Kari takes them because she is better at it and her camera for reasons unknown is better suited to this purpose than mine. It's funny because we more often than not get somebody who offers to take it for us, which we gratefully and politely take them up on before continuing on with our quest. In an unprecidented turn of events, a gentleman at the overlook at the Wailua River offered such assistance qualifying it with a statement about how he realizes it's more fun to do it yourself, but thought we'd like a real picture too. We were both a bit amazed, took him up on his offer, and carried on as usual taking our own shot immediately after. We all got a chuckle out of it.
In the past I haven't posted them, but having gotten the ok, and perhaps somewhat of a nudge even :), to post them I shall hence forth do so.
With that, I over you our self portraits from this trip. I hope you enjoy them.
